Earlier today I thought you will be in for a cuteness overload if you get the Hello Kitty Screensaver, a free Windows screensaver offered by Wallpaper Screensavers that presents 18 Hello Kitty-related images. Apparently there is another Wallpaper Screensavers-offered screensaver that is even cutesier than Hello Kitty – I am of course talking about Cute Babies Screensaver.

Why is Cute Babies Screensaver even cutesier that Hello Kitty? While Hello Kitty Screensaver is cute, its cuteness appeals to Hello Kitty fans in particular. The cuteness Cute Babies Screensaver, a collection of 22 images of babies, appeals to every user out there. Never thought I’d have to write “cute” so many times in an article before.

Putting the spotlight on Cute Babies Screensaver’s functionality, you must know that this is a classic slideshow screensaver. It displays an image for a while (10 seconds by default), then switches to another image, displays it for a while, then moves on to another image. While doing all this image switching, the screensaver uses various transition effects.

You can tweak things a bit from the settings pane. You can adjust for how long the baby images will be displayed, you can select the order in which they will be displayed, you can choose which transition effects the screensaver uses, the speed of these transition effects, and how the screensaver behaves. You can for example set it so the screensaver does not exit when you move the mouse about; or you can set it so the screensaver will exit only when you press ESC.

• Changes Internet Explorer’s home page to knightstar.net; not your default browser’s homepage, IE’s homepage.
